Boris Karn
BHSc, MPlan, RPP, MCIP
Principal

A perennial optimist, Boris is driven by the real potential to make our cities better and more joyful places to live and move through. Always up for a design challenge, he sees constraint as the necessary frame for creative problem solving.

As a Chair of The City of Calgary's Urban Design Review Panel, he regularly provides planning and urban design peer-review, feedback and insight for local planning and development applications of significant scale or impact.

In his day to day, Boris plans the strategic road ahead, manages the ongoing operations of Prospect, and leads complex growth and change propositions. His progressive, multi-disciplinary experience spans over a decade and includes public and private sector projects in development approvals, master planning, municipal and regional land use planning, major transportation infrastructure, information design, and community engagement.

Kalika Hoogstraten
BEnvD, MCP, RPP, MCIP, LEED Green Associate
Principal

Kalika is drawn to the spaces between disciplines: where urban planning and design collide, where data meets lived experience, and where good communication is what moves a project forward. With a decade of experience across public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, she has led work in urban design, land use planning, transit-oriented development, non-market housing, and downtown revitalization.

Grounded in a background in both Environmental Design and City Planning, she brings a cross-disciplinary outlook to every project: equal parts analytical rigour and creative curiosity. She bridges the gap between technical complexity and shared understanding, translating dense planning processes into clear, accessible conversations that invite broader participation.

At the core of her practice is a commitment to equitable, healthy, and well-designed places, the kind that people actively seek out and choose to call home.
